Antecedents to Effective E-Learning among Selected Secondary Schools in Malaysia
As the e-learning technology continued to evolve, targeting antecedents to it effectiveness in Malaysia can be a prerequisite to increasing the success rate of this initiative. Students use e-learning for their schooling activities, learn by accessing the elearning portal through teachers’ instruction and guidance. Even though, without better understanding of their need, expectation and the problem they encounter while using the e-learning system, sometimes difficult to make their learning become more effective. The study seek to investigate the antecedents that determine the effectiveness of e-learning in Malaysian secondary schools. Although there may exist many factors that are involved in determining the effectiveness of e-learning, this study focuses on the use, users satisfaction, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, delivery method, content quality, system quality and self-efficacy as the antecedents to effective e-learning. Information Systems Success model and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) were used to determine the antecedence to effectiveness of e-learning among the students in secondary schools.
